Yes, we do engines other than Cox!
This 2-speed OK CUB .049B began life as a beautiful NOS example from the mid-fifties.
We built a long intake with a tight venturi for superb fuel draw, and fitted a pair of Wen-Mac needle assemblies for a real pre-carburetor days setup.
The bright red color-anodizing on the intake and prop driver lend a "factory" look to this unusual custom.

Hybrid engines are one of our favorite toys... This "K & Bee" .061 conversion was made to a customer's order, using his own NOS motor as a starting point.
He had seen our first such .049 conversion on eBay, and wanted his .061 done in similar fashion.
This one uses a Cox Black Widow tank/back-plate with custom telescoped brass fill/overflow tubes.
The needle was extended with a red anodized shank, and our red "Crown Jewel" knob added.
The "look" is completed with a Cox TeeDee spinner, and the original head being mirror-polished.
The "Top Hat" cylinder was deep fire-blued, and the fin edges polished.
These conversions are a little tricky, as the K&B block is not an exact match for the Cox tank/reed unit.
When altering the tank assembly, considerable care must be taken to not allow air bleeding, and the reed assembly must also be hand-fitted to the smaller Tornado block.
It's not a "bolt-on" conversion, but one that is well worth the effort.

Here, we have the very first of our hybrid engines sold on eBay: The "K & Bee" .049 Tornado conversion.
These proved so popular that we used up and sold all nine of our NOS Tornado long blocks!
(Boy, are those getting hard to come by.)
This one uses the smaller Cox Babe Bee tank/reed assembly.
We fire-blued the cylinder on this one also, and polished the fin edges for unique appearance, but put a satin finish on the glow-head, and machined it to fit a standard Cox wrench.
A blued 5-40 Allen-head prop screw and stepped brass spinner finished this one in style!
We've always loved the look of the Tornado "Top-Hat" cylinder, and antique-looking block, but that awful nylon tank and mega-weird reed setup was never our favorite...
So, a little Cox, a little engineering, and presto: the STONEWAY K & Bee hybrid!
If you have one of these great old Tornado engines gathering dust, we can give it a real facelift!
